William Cast, M.D., CEO of Topikos Scientific, Inc., leads with a diverse background in healthcare. A Board-Certified Otolaryngologist trained at Indiana University Hospitals, he managed a five-person ENT group in Fort Wayne. This group was instrumental in establishing the U.S.’s second free-standing ambulatory surgery center.

His contributions extend beyond clinical practice. As Speaker of the House of Delegates of the Indiana State Medical Association, Cast played a key role in lobbying for the nation’s first medical liability legislation, the Patient Compensation Act. His leadership roles have included positions on the boards of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Council of Otolaryngology, as well as serving as a Trustee of Indiana University and on the Board of IU Health.

Dr. Cast’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident in his founding roles at DuPont Hospital and Tristate Medical PPO, alongside his presidency at Fort Wayne Medical Surety Company. Currently, he contributes to the field of medical informatics as a board member of Medical Informatics Engineering and Octamer, Inc., the latter being a pioneer in oncology treatment products for glioblastoma.
