Gary Allred, PhD

President of Synthonix, maker of synthon molecules for Pharma. Inventor on ’99 Organosilane patents for Emory U.
[email protected]

Gary Allred, PhD, co-founder and President of Synthonix Corporation, has significantly advanced the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Under his leadership, Synthonix provides Topikos with essential capabilities to produce various novel, patent-pending molecules. This is critical for preclinical testing and trials, with capacities ranging from lab-scale to 200-liter pilot projects.

Founded in North Carolina in 2003, Synthonix aims to supply the drug discovery and materials industry with invaluable synthons and building blocks. Synthons are theoretical units in a molecule, identified in retrosynthetic analysis as possible starting points for the synthesis of the target molecule.

Beyond his chemical and pharmaceutical acumen, Allred brings over 25 years of experience in business development and management to the table. His true passion, however, lies in chemistry. Before establishing Synthonix Corporation, he launched a successful startup in 1997, where he was also at the helm as President and CEO. His journey in the field began with earning his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Emory University, studying under Dr. Lanny Liebeskind.
